A Movement for a Moment—toward wholeness.

#pause4amoment

Life moves fast. Loss, stress, transitions, chronic illness, burnout, family responsibilities, and everyday pressure can quietly pull us out of alignment.

The Wellness Check is PAUSE’s monthly community moment where we slow down on purpose and take inventory—without shame, without performance, and without pretending we’re “fine.”

What is
The Wellness Check?

The Wellness Check is a guided monthly experience designed to help you notice what’s happening within you and around you—then take one realistic step toward wellness.

This is not therapy, and it is not a lecture. It’s a community-centered wellness pause that blends:

  • practical reflection tools

  • culturally conscious education

  • gentle accountability

  • interactive prompts

  • and moments of meaning

Some months will feel light and empowering. Some months will feel tender. Both are welcome here.

We believe wellness is not perfection

—wellness is awareness + intention + support.

Who The Wellness Check is For

The Wellness Check is for you if you’re:

  • navigating grief (death, divorce, estrangement, identity shifts, “living losses”)

  • carrying stress, anxiety, or emotional overload

  • living with chronic illness or caregiving responsibilities

  • rebuilding after a hard season

  • feeling stuck, numb, or disconnected from yourself

  • doing “all the things” and quietly burning out

  • craving community that feels safe, real, and grounded

You don’t have to explain your story to belong here.

HOW IT WORKS
(THE EXPERIENCE)

THE WELLNESS WHEEL
(MONTHLY DIMENSIONS)

Our Wellness Wheel

At PAUSE, we explore wellness as a whole-life practice—not a one-size-fits-all formula. Each month, we focus on one dimension while still honoring how the dimensions overlap.

Some months repeat on purpose—because wellness is seasonal, and so are we.

 ~ See This Month’s Focus:

This is where awareness becomes alignment.

WHY IT MATTERS
(PAUSE LENS)

Because stress doesn’t just sit in your mind—it shows up in your body, your relationships, your focus, and your decisions.

Because grief doesn’t only come from death—it includes the loss of health, safety, identity, dreams, time, and stability.

Because many of us were taught to “push through” instead of checking in.

The Wellness Check exists to help you:

  • name what’s real

  • release what’s heavy

  • renew what’s possible

  • and return to life with more clarity and compassion

A Letter to Our Community

Hey Family,
If you’ve been trying to hold everything together—this is your reminder that you don’t have to do it alone.

The Wellness Check was created because I’ve lived what many of you are living: seasons where life shifts without permission. Seasons where grief takes new forms. Seasons where the body gets tired. Where emotions come in waves. Where the environment around us—home, community, work, even the world—feels loud, unsafe, or uncertain.

PAUSE is not a performance space. It’s a real space.
A place where we can be honest and still be hopeful.
A place where we can laugh and still be healing.
A place where we can learn tools that actually fit into real life.

So if you need a moment, take one with us.
If you need a reset, let’s do it together.
If you’re ready for a small shift that leads to a stronger future—welcome home.

With love and purpose,
Dahria Williams-Fernandes
